Intervention Records and Turntable Manufacturer VPI Team Up to Create Analog Audio Experience for Conan O’Brien Music Guests

Intervention Records and turntable manufacturer VPI have teamed up with other high-end audio brands and Team Coco to create an immersive analog audio experience for musical guests of CONAN. As vinyl records reach new heights of popularity, music enthusiasts are becoming increasingly interested in optimizing the listening experience through high-quality audio equipment and superior LP pressings.

“Our goal is to create an environment where musicians can comfortably relax before performing on CONAN,” music production supervisor Roey Hershkovitz says of the new audio system. “Music is a great tool to get your head in the right space to chill all day or get amped up right before walking out on stage. The right equipment for the job is essential, and we want nothing but the very best for our artists.”

Visiting musicians will have access to a beautiful-sounding, ever-evolving library of 180-gram vinyl classics provided by Intervention Records including titles from Joe Jackson, Billy Squier, Marshall Crenshaw, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Murray Head, and more. Regarding the vinyl library for musical guests of CONAN, Intervention owner and founder, Shane Buettner, said: “We’ll be adding to the library as new titles are released so there will always be great new records for the guests. We have some Matthew Sweet titles coming soon that these artists are going to love.”

The artist greenroom audio system at CONAN will feature the VPI Player turntable ($1499 MSRP), Definitive Technology D9 speakers ($999/pr MSRP), Marantz PM8006 amp ($1199 MSRP), and Marantz ND8006 streamer/CD player ($1199 MSRP) with HEOS streaming capabilities. The system will include Rocket 44 speaker cables and Sydney RCA interconnects from cable manufacturer AudioQuest.
